I was surprised to read that Burts Bee products uses apparently only beeswax sourced from
Africa. I guess its no secret North American beeswax is heavily contaminated. I wonder how
much of the wax produced in Africa is purchased by Burts? Another company Aveda is also
a big buyer of organic wax. The demand for chem free beeswax must be growing as more
and more companies get on the green wagon.
