No, sure haven't. I don't think that I've ever seen a bee kill
associated with varroa in the spring--mite populations are generally
lowest then. Any colonies with high mite levels generally go down in
the fall. In the spring, bee reproduction outruns the mites.
What you describe sounds like the published description of a different
virus to me.
