Anecdotes from Illinois are been the same.  There are also some reports 
related to the difference (more precisely the lack thereof) between the 
day and night temperatures during the short time the beans bloom related 
to nectar flow.  The beans are largely self-pollinated.  I can't 
substantiate any flow with my scale hive and I'm in the middle of the 
soy and corn here in northern Ilinois.
