Before you chuck those queens out I would also evaluate the brood pattern. Those bees may just be getting their pollen needs met by their foragers. Also, the bees can store the patties in cells for future use and not necessarily use the patties to feed new brood.

next wednesday. We will do a visual evaluation of consumption. Those
colonies that lag on pattie consumption will be the first to receive a new
queen when possible or we will trash them for nucs.
