I have not seen any pictures of bees colored like mine on the net. I have not taken any close up pictures. The producible honey crop can be from 35 pounds up to 300 pounds depending on the year. My yearly average would be between 80 to 100 pounds per hive. We have some summers where it rains almost every day and other years where it rains very little. I have a creek on one side of my property and a lake on the other so water is never a problem. The flower source is diverse. Some Fireweed, berry bushes, roses, many, many, varieties of small and large flowers. There is no main source there. In my other yards Fireweed is plentiful. I could list 20 or more flowers but it takes all to produce my honey crop. Most honey is very light in color and flavour. No strong bitter flavours.
