Hi Chris

Vince was an apprentice to Harry Cloake and learned the method from him,
but I do not know whether Harry was the originator either. To further
add to the confusion I have heard it described as the 'bombshell method'
and the 'starburst method' but neither method seems to involve the whole
apiary being treated in this fashion as is apparently normal (from
recent posts) in US.
I have used the method a great deal, but only dismembered enough hives
to cope with the number of grafts that I had available.
