Mark Winston writes about pollen digestion in 'The Biology of the Honey Bee' on pages 33, 54, 58, 
59. Winston writes about how pollen grains are passed to the midgut for digestion, in addition to 
how pollen is also stored in the comb to undergo fermentation into bee bread.
