Ms Lusby
You say you have 900 hives but do you harvest any honey from them? It is one
thing to drive around making splits all day and another to bring in a crop.
In the 1980s I kept 450 hives and got about 40,000 pounds a year, plus 4000
pounds of bee pollen. It was very hard work harvesting, extracting, filling
drums, and trucking the honey to L.A. to sell. Why don't tell us how much
you actually get from these bees? Then WE can decide how labor intensive it is.
