Bob great post....even if CCD turned out to be something new, it would appear to me that great gains 
could be had quickly by getting US beekeepers on the same page in terms of basic honey bee health.  

To give further credibility to your advice on educating beekeepers and improving overall bee health, 
see what Marla Spivak says in a recent article called Why are Honeybees Collapsing?  posted on the U 
of M Entomology Dept. website.
