I have an old Dadant electric steam generator

or

So old in fact that a small hole has rusted through the bottom. I am debating if I should try to plug the hole with a wad of epoxy puddy, or simply bite the bullet and buy a new one. I wouldn't mind saving the $300.

Anyone been there, done that?
