Mike,

Your right, San Diego was cold, I was at San Clemente Beach for a few days.
I give my cells a two day window.I normally make up sets of five hundred at a time, If I have bad weather or running ahead or behind of schedule I try to hit the one --three day window, but I shoot for the two day . The bees are hunger for a queen after the first day, I make mine up fairly strong 5---6 frames so its best on the stronger ones to give them some time.

 Good Luck, Keith
