Dave and Allen:
This study showed that for a body size shift of 10% there
was only a 1% change in the diameter of the tracheal
orifice.
Reply:
Dave you say the measurements were linear which I perceive
then across the back of the thorax, wing side to wing side,
to match the inside diameter of the cell born in. Please
correct me if I am wrong here. Then which direction was the
orifice linear measured across the opening, since it would
seem either side to side, or top to bottom, etc would be
expanded? Also may I ask on what named bee this was done
upon?
