Bill replied in part: "What I have found is that those who are not do
not last long as beekeepers." 

IMHO the big question is:  How much damage will they cause in the
meantime?

Along the lines of FDR: The only thing we have to fear is the FEAR of
Africanized Bees (and irresponsible beekeepers handling them).
