Which is why I'm trying to convince more "northern tier beekeepers" to
raise their own nucs in late summer, overwinter them, and use them to
replace winter losses, make spring increase, or requeen weak colonies. The
process has changed the way I keep bees...for the better. Better bees,
better crops, better wintering.
