Closer to 14 days than 10. My cycle is 16 days, so every 8 days, cells go
in mating nucs. After the first week, every 8 days I have a batch of queens
to catch. Even at 16 days, some queens are just starting to lay. I guess it
depends some on the strain. I understand that Russians take longer to get
queens to a laying condition...closer to 20 days.
