This brings up a possibly dumb question: would it be worthwhile to use a
diving snorkel to divert your breath away? It would obviously need a
screen over the end, since you really don't want to inhale any bees, but
it should do a really good job of diverting your breath away from the
frame no matter how closely you look at it.
