I never used queen pheromone. Would the pheromone be enough to stop the onset of laying workers? Not an issue to the almond grower (although my perception is colonies with laying workers forage/pollinate less) but any beepkeeper trying to utilize these bees subsequently might have to deal with the laying workers before installing queens.
