Mike asks if the Kelley Thin Section comb honey foundation would be suitable
for cut comb.
For section comb production, warping and bending is not a problem as the
foundation is well supported. I do not believe it would be a problem for
cut comb if slotted top bars were used and the foundation was held firmly by
running a bead of wax (very time consuming), stapling the top bars together,
or bending over the portion of the foundation above the top bars.
The foundation is not at all difficult to handle. We have our frames
'loaded' by high school kids and it goes quickly without breaking.
Dadant has a similar product...look for the 28 sheets to the pound.
