When I was stung by a yellow jacket wasp, I called the poison control
center to ask this, and they said yes, all hymenoptera are dangerous if one
is allergic to the honey bee. Ten minutes after fighting the wasp off my
arm, there was no doubt. A quick trip to the ER took care of the reaction.
I carry the epi pen, and behave VERY carefully, to avoid being stung, these
days.

Correct me please if I'm wrong but I understood one could be allergic to
one type of bee but not the others because the venom is different.
