Patronizing statement, since many of us have visited apiaries or had
bees that were hot. When the colonies were re-queened the problem
disappeared.
I am slowly coming to the conclusion that, like EHB, AHB can vary in
temperament. There may even be different strains of AHB (as there are
with EHB such as Italian, Carneolean...), so some are manageable and
some are not. If so, you could breed for a manageable strain or you may
start with one, which would explain a lot of what may be happening in AZ.
This is just conjecture. But it does seem to fit the facts.
