Many thanks for the varied answers to my mail relating to Queen excluder cleaning.
The ones that require remedial action are approx. 75% plugged with wax that is over 1 cm. thick. Not the fresh kind either.
Burr comb - tolerated, obliterated wire - another situation!
They are in good condition when relating to the gaps (they being wire type excluders) and worth dealing with.
Um, thinking about what I have just written - they worked, keeping the queen in the required place last season. Just
hope that after having being relieved of their burden, oversized gaps do not appear.
Thank again.
Peter
PS. Aaron, the archives came up just fine after the mail was sent!
