Arthritis is also affected by exercise. It's likely you get a lot more
exercise in summer than you do in the winter, and that could be a
compounding factor in the reason why you have less of a problem in the
summer. You could test this by doing some "resistance training" (weight
lifting) in the winter. That has also been shown to benefit arthritis
suffers. (Kind of like lifting supers?).

Then get back to us and let us know which works better, the bee stings or
the weights?!
