Most people with a calculator or even a pencil and restuarant napkin can come with the the same
dosage using Mavrik versus Apsitan strips. However, I think, it goes a bit deeper than simply
mixing correctly. Aren’t the strips formulated to slowly release fluvalinate at a constant rate for a
given period of time? Mavrik solutions, as I understand, dissipate quickly resulting in varroa being
exposed to lower concentrations. The fix--increase the concentration. I don’t know how many
‘big guys’ use it. I hope it isn’t all that widespread, but still.....
