While we are discussing the raising of queens.........
This week in a meeting with local beekeepers for just a queen raising project, I heard
one beekeeper claim that queens cut themselves from the queen cells with somekind
of horn like device or their head, as opposed to the nibbling or eating away of the wax
by the other colony members.
I had not heard of this before, is it true? Are there any clearifying pictures around
that show this?
