If the”old queen”or let’s say if one of the queen is clipped is no problem.
I keep spare queens(clipped young mated queens) this way let’s call this

There is a methode developed by the romanian Adrian Huica for hive with 2,3
or more queens. If you are interested I’ll tell you about this.
