It is a mistaken assertion.

I am afraid these references are for two different
studies. The English link refers to a 1997 study, the
French link to a 2001 study. Authors are also
different and texts are completely different. The 2001
study (in French) would probably change Bill's last
comments since it focuses on non peroxid inhibits. The
2001 study is far more to date.
