I feel only one of your questions is important and relevant.

Because of the number of cells per square inch there is on small cell
foundation. Even if the cells do get smaller on larger cell foundation the
number of cells per square inch on larger cell foundation will remain the same.
I see Dee Lusby has explained a bit on the dynamics of large cell foundation
verses small cell foundation.
