The power consumption should be the same for 110 or 220- IF the wattages are
the same, however the 220 is more efficient in power transfer, especially in
a heating element. Therefore the 220 would be a better choice, that is if
you use it a lot and the extra wiring is minimal.
Maybe a true electrician could be more precise
