Robert,  Hive beetles are a fact of life here in Florida and I just spray
the ground around the hives with GuardStar or Starguard..   Strong hives
seem to tolerate them.  I really do not concern myself with them that much,
just the cost of having bees. Mites now are a different set of problems.
Keep the hives strong and out in the sun.  Good luck..
