Hate to say this, and it may sound cruel, but if you are going to be a
beekeeper you are going to kill lots of bees in your time. It is almost
unavoidable. I too hate the fact of killing anyone of my girls, but sometimes one has to
accept certain things in life. Killing bees is one of them in beekeeping.

I don't know how many times I have winced when I place a inner cover or a
super down that I hear the sickening crunch of my girls getting killed, but it is
all part of it. I just suck it up and take heart in that fact that around
1000 bees are hatching shortly to make up for the 5 I just killed.
