I think you may have it backwards. With the risk of
making "blanket statements", I think it is the
commercial beekeepers who strive to produce honey
equal to that of the backyard beekeeper.

Unless you are abusing miticides, bottling in your
bathtub, etc., your there should be nothing wrong with
your honey. If you extract your honey and bottle it
without heating or ultra-filtering it, it is better
tasting and better for you than most of what is on the
store shelves.
