If you want to take photos just for computer display
and internet use, you can get by quite cheaply; a
computer monitor is typically capable of displaying
only 72 pixels per inch -- a photo of this resolution
will look great until you try to print it out. If you
want a photo you can print to 8x10 or larger and still
have it look like a photograph, you'll have to spend a
few hundred more dollars.
