Usually the by products of brewing that are sold to the feedlots contain
lots of debris other than the yeast and the product is very coarse.
Sometimes other ingrediants are added by the feed folks for their
livestock, I'm not sure what happens to it when it's mixed with sugar
syrup and stirred.
The food grade brewers yeast is very powdery, much finer than ground
flour. A respirator would be a good to use when mixing a large quantity
of the stuff in dry form. It is a by product which requires filtering and
drying and not just a waste product like the animal feed stuff.
