Hi Aaron & all

I have a feeling (no proof) that the drones that are kept are raised after
chucking out time for the rest. They are not there in large numbers, but
they are there... I do wonder about the viability of these overwintered
drones. Does anyone know of any testing that has been done regarding this? I
have popped a few and only about half had semen. Not having any virgin
queens available I was unable to test whether or not the semen was up to
mating standard.
