Hi Elizabeth,
Last year I installed 25 packages in the pouring rain at 40 degrees. This
isn't a problem at all as the bees will be fine. Keep them covered as you
work but with ventilation. Years like this will come and go, just install
them in their hives. Most important is to make sure they have plenty of bee
chow! The rain will keep bees from the packages from drifting to other
colonies. Just keep yourself dry as you are more likely to be the one who
comes down with a cold.
