I too thought of suggesting the use of sticky traps which are what we use
in the museum field due to the lack of chemical exposure to the objects in
the collection. Despite this non-toxic solution, which almost certainly
would be suitable/approved for use around food products, you have the
consider the likelihood that a prospective customer would find a live (or
half-live) mouse stuck to the trap when examining your products for
purchase. That might leave a stronger impression!
