Yes, as Allen, Bill and others suggested, one should only use their own
pollen, from healthy hives, to feed.
While Allen warns of dangers even then, I have never had any difficulties
and do not know of difficulties from any of the several I know who do as I.
This includes one queen breeder who raised over 10,000 queens a year.
Chalkbrood is a problem, as Allen suggests. Do consider using a trap that
does not permit hive debris (and therefore chalkbrood) into the pollen. One
such trap is sold as Sundance by American suppliers.
