Sit back, relax, it's pretty normal.
Let the wax solidify, pour off the liquid, pierce it to get to the pockets
of fluid, and wash it out with warm water, setit out to dry, repeat
asnecessary. The oily substance you speak of is small amounts of honey, water,
etc. Don't sweat it, it will take a couple of melting to get it clean but in the
end it makes wonderful candles.
