One of our local stations had an item on their 10 o'clock news last
night about the study showing that "extended" breastfeeding reduces
mom's risk of breast CA.  It was very positive, acknowledging that
in our society nursing beyond a few months or even a year may be
viewed as strange, but that there are definite benefits-even to
mom.  Nice interviews with LLL's ACL and another LLLeader (nice
ethnic diversity too) regarding the subject in general and personal
experiences.  Unfortunately, it didn't occur to me to tape it until
it had already started.  So great to see a report that didn't temper
it with something like "of course it's not the right choice for
every mom".  Just a positive report with no qualifying statements.
