Our secretary who does the scheduling for our prenatal classes is suppose to
encourage the mothers to tell their partners to attend class with them and if
they have a mother or sister attend that is great also.  I have probably half
of the men showing up.  I encourage in the class for the moms to all buy
their husbands the book by Dr. Sears, Becoming a Father.  It helped my
brother so much when his wife had her first baby.  I find that the men are
terrific in the class.  I have many who come up to me after class to say how
they were not wanting to come and how pleased they were that this is the best
class they have taken so far!  Some of these men are like little consultants
at the bedside after delivery!  These are the days I feel so good about what
I do.

Not looking forward to a meeting with our Director and managers Thursday at
10:30. As all 4 LC's are being called into a meeting due to a BIG complaint
about Lactation.  We have NO clue, no heads up on what the heck is going on.
But the email we received head lined the subject of the meeting as being:
Standards of Practice and Judgemental Behavior.  So wish us luck.  I swear we
can do so much good and never get a praise but if there is a complaint we
hear about it as if everyone is complaining.
