I bought a new car 4 mos ago, (VOLVO), love it ,but right after I bought I
smelled a strong gas/acetone smell when I started the car, I immediatley took
it in to the dealersip who had it's service dept. look it over, they said
everything checked out. Two days ago the "check engine" light goes on and I
take it in immediatly, they call the next day and say a vapor valve is
prolapsed and $200 please. I say "could this be related to the strong vapors
I've been smelling for 4 months/and the dizzy spells I've been having" she
said she'd call me back. Calls back "Volvo will cover this $200 of worK as a
good will gesture", so now I know I've been inhaling along with my three
children a combined gas/vapor for 4 months and breastfeeding, so any of you
know how this is affecting us and how long these chemicals will take to get
out of our blood streams?and who is accountable? And what levels are in my
breastmilk? I know this isn't autonet but this has me shaken! TIA
