   I do not think that ibclc's need to be rn's and do not feel it is in the
best interest of the profession for there to be an emphasis on rn/ibclc as a
pathway.

   IBCLC although it grew from a volunteer organization has never been
promoted as being a volunteer position..quite the opposite.

   My understanding is that accountability in the case of a law suit will be
at ones highest degree of training. The protection afforded by incorporation
varies from state to state.
