Dear Editor,
Re: "Baby Got Bach" (24 May 1999, p. 96/Your Family). Did anyone at
TIME notice the irony of classical music CDs being given out with formula
discharge bags containing Enfamil? I doubt that the increase in
intelligence from listening to classical music will make up for the decrease
in intelligence from using formula (5-8 IQ points relative to
breastfeeding). My children got the best of both worlds -- breast milk
*and* classical music -- and Louis Armstrong and the Eagles and many other
types of music.
