Carrie,
Has this mother any idea what causes the eczema to flare up? Could it be
diet-related (as eczema is commonly caused by cow's milk protein
intolerance)? The best solution all-round would be to try to find what is
causing it and avoid it. I think that since this mother has an atopic
history (as evident from having eczema), then it is even more important
that she breastfeed her babies to help them in the long term with reducing
allergy problems.
