In 1970's (can't remember the year) my children's Ped said they weren't
giving smallpox vaccinations any more unless I planned on traveling to
Pakistan. Soon it would be gone from there also and no one would get them
any more because the disease had been eradicated. Interesting how we all
were told different things by our HCPs. As a child I was totally unaware
there could be any problem with vaccinations. And no memorable reactions
other than itching.
