Here in Florida, there is an 800 (toll free) telephone number that citizens
can call to report unrestrained children travelling in cars.  You need to
make note of the time and place and the car tag number, and the offender will
be mailed a warning that they were seen at such and such a time and place
with an unrestrained child.  I hope that it would help atleast one foolish
adult think twice before doing it the next time.  I don't know if the
offender is fined or ticketed if it their tag number is reported more than
once, now *that* would be more effective.

Apparently, in many states there is *no law* against having people ride in
the back of pick up trucks- I see it all the time in FL and saw it a great
deal in TX too.  Those people are as good as dead in even a 15 mph crash.
Makes me nuts!!
