Carla wanted some thoughts about infection and bathing for rebirthing (or
I suppose any other reason). I don't have any references to offer; just
the thought that generally the germs in a home tub are those mom, and
through mom prenatally, baby are accustomed to. That's why bathing is
reasonably safe during a home birth, but not such a good idea at the
hospital, where the germs are many, various, and unfamiliar.

The recommendation for my home birth was that the tub be well-cleaned
prior to bathing, but there were otherwise no big caveats.
