Greetings!

Our Family Birth Center is planning to transition from having pacifiers available at parents request to eliminating them from our unit except for pain relief during circumcision and other noxious procedures. We are looking for a pacifier specifically made for that use only, perhaps a pacifier with "sweetease", an all in one? Does anyone have information on a product that would serve this purpose? If you use pacifiers in your hospital for painful procedures how do you assure they are not handed out to parents for reasons other than pain relief?

Thank you,
Connie Harmon RNC, IBCLC
