Glad someone mentioned checking thyroid levels first.

How about her magnesium levels? I believe it's also what is infused in
an emergency for heart muscle cramping during a heart attack.

She could also be checked for Celiac Disease and suggested to given up
all gluten grains (wheat, oats, rye & barley) to see if there is an
improvement. She could rely on rice, wild rice, corn, millet, quinoa &
potato for starch.

When the small intestine villi are atrophied due to CD, there is a vast
reduction in the intestine's ability to absorb all nutrients, including
minerals. Plus, the phytates, which prevent mineral absorption, are
gone from the diet.

Another low calcium example: post menopausal osteoporosis in CD women
is mostly resolved when the atrophied villi are allowed to recover. In
fact, all osteoporotic women should be tested for celiac disease. The
same
protocol may be tried by this client.
