To answer Maureen Kennedy's question about  the organism causing
mastitis:  I believe it is staph aureus most of the time.  That is why we
usually initiate antibiotics with an agent effective against staph aureus.
Occaionally  I have cultured other more exotic organisms in resistant cases.
